Pregnant woman should take care of herself more carefully than women who don’t. During the pregnancy, everything can happen accept gestational diabetes.

If you don’t know anything about gestational diabetes, I would like to share this information with you. Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes (one of diabetes itself) that normally starts during the pregnancy.

If you already have diabetes before, you should care your health more because the body isn’t able to use the sugar (also known as glucose) in your blood as good as it should be. That’s why your level sugar is higher than normal condition.

Gestational diabetes is affect between 1% to 3% to all pregnant women. Gestational diabetes usually develops in the second trimester of your pregnancy but it could be in the 20th weeks of it. Not just that, this information might relief you from that worry. Gestational diabetes goes away after the baby born.

The effect if gestational diabetes doesn’t treat well, you and your baby are not in the safe level. What about the baby? Your baby can have low blood sugar level, jaundice or even may weigh much more than normal baby.

What about me? The effect for you is when the baby is large than normal, you must need cesarean section because it’s hard for you to do that process normally. During the pregnancy, you better take a diet. It causes the gestational diabetes in control.

The diet you take is based on doctor suggestion. You have to exercise regularly and frequent blood test to check up your blood sugar level for control you health and risk. You might need a medicine to control it. After the baby birth, you have to keep the exercise to make sure it really goes away and keep your health stable.
